SAQ offers a network management service to any company with a network of 5 or more PCs. We ensure that your network runs the way it should, all the time. If it "gets a cold", we fix it, often before you are aware of the problem.

Typical Services

Network Monitoring and Problem Fixing. At the core of our service is the ability to monitor your network in real time. For example, if something goes wrong (a piece of equipment/software fails or malfunctions) we receive an alarm in our network operation center.

We can then take action to fix the problem. In most cases we can do this remotely. Often we are aware of the problem before you or your colleagues. Sometimes, we can fix a problem before you've even noticed it has occured.

Software Updates. Making sure that software (particularly operating systems) have the most up-to-date patches (such as security patches) is critical to maintaining a secure network.

As part of its network maintenance service, and with minimum fuss, (we do it remotely) SAQ ensures that all your critical software is up to date. In most cases, we run these patches on our own network first i.e. we know they work before we apply then to your network.

Music & Film downloads, Chat, Porn SAQ can either slow down these types of traffic to the point that the (ab?)user simply gets back to work, or we can stop these types of traffic completely. Put another way, if you don't like your staff cyber skiving, we can prevent it.

This often has a knock on benefit that your network and broadband suddenly seems faster and the point when you need an upgrade (i.e. need to spend yet more money) is delayed.

General Network Security. Our experience of running a secure public network for 10 years, can be applied to your private network. Remote network monitoring allows us to see if somebody is trying to hack your network.

SAQ's network experiences daily hacking attacks ("they" are probably trying right now). With some justification, we believe that we know what it takes to make your private network secue and keep it secure. This extends from firewall/router supply and configuration through to ensuring that your mail servers are secure and that the most appropriate anti-virus and anti-spam systems are used.

 

Summary of other Services

Site Maintenance visits. SAQ staff visit your premisis on a bi-yearly basis to make sure everything is OK (it also provides a chance to talk on a face to face basis).

License Management. Nobody likes paying for licenses. However, the penalties for not ensuring that all your applications are properley licensed are severe (persistent offenders end up in prison). SAQ can help you make sure that your software is licensed and can be proved to be licensed.

Equipment recommendations & Discount equipment & software.SAQ regularly purchases equipment for its own systems. We know what works, what is reliable and what offers good value. We are happy to provide advice based on our own experience. Naturally, we would also be happy to meet your hardware and software needs.

Data backup and restoration. Everybody talks about the importance of backing-up important data. Unfortunately, in many cases, that is as far as it gets - talk.

SAQ provide an on-line back-up service. Once implemented you will never need to worry about losing data again.
